Where to Find News
Information sharing about what children have had for lunch along with any daily activities can be found on the whiteboard at the entrance to the main room, and feedback and suggestions from parents are always welcome.
Information about your child and the pre-school curriculum is always available for you to access. The policies and procedures of Meadow are available for you to read and each child has a personal folder which details his/her individual development throughout their time at Meadow. These folders are available for parents/carers to view and/or contribute to at any time. Please bring in details of your child’s activities outside preschool to share with us.
Talking to Staff
Each child is allocated a key person during their time at Meadow.
As Meadow is a small and community-based pre-school each parent is welcome to approach any member of staff, and should not feel limited to the key person.
Meadow operates an 'open door policy' for parents, who can discuss their child's development at any time
There is one parent’s evening per school year when parents are invited to speak to staff about their child’s development. Parent’s are also welcome to request a one-to-one chat by appointment should they have any special concerns. For more day-to-day matters Meadow operates an “open door” policy throughout the school year.
The Meadow Committee produces a newsletter which gives the parents news of fundraising activities, special events and improvement plans.
Meadow Preschool is managed by a committee of parent/carer volunteers. It is both fun and challenging and very much needs and uses the great variety of the skills that the parents have; from computer skills to gardening and from interior design to publishing. Whoever you are and whatever you do the committee could really do with your help. See the committee page on this site for more information.
